The story recommences with the unexpected advent of a charming god of trial in Metropolis.

He is our 17th party player! So who is this god of trial, where is he from and how did he come to Metropolis?

Let's take a look at the story of this powerful individual.

His name is Thanatos, hailing from Olympus just like Heracles. Despite his superficial elegance, he is a ruthless character endowed with exceptional power, who shares an untold history with Heracles...

Kicked out of Olympus following his failure in the divine trial, Heracles has been closely watched over by Thanatos since his arrival at Metropolis.

But one day, as he was watching the daily routines as usual under a tree, a mysterious song suddenly jammed his "observation signal", blacking out his vision into the mortal world... As a result, he forayed into Metropolis on his own in order to continue his duty.

That was how Thanatos the God of Trial came to the Party!

The earlier designs for Thanatos were rather different than the current one. In our mind, he is supposed to be a charming, loyal yet ruthless God of Trial.

The designers made many attempts, one of which had blue hair and dark outfit. But a series of nerve-racking discussions drew the conclusion that a God of Trial like that was too delicate and didn't come close to the ruthlessness inherent in his personality...

Therefore, the designers opted for a harsh, unapproachable grey for his hair, making him more aggressive and decisive.

As for his clothing, there was a version with a white outfit, whose warm tone, however, was too much on the soft side for his cool characterization as God of Trial. Therefore, we chose a blue and violet tone instead.

Thanatos' weapon is one of his features with its scythe-like head and slim shape. Despite its relatively large size, the weapon doesn't appear to be heavy at all, but makes him look more dangerous.

He uses his scythe to attack, which is particularly characteristic of his heavy attacks. Therefore, he is made to be a melee hero.

And I'll let you in on something... Our Thanatos, the cool God of Trial, enjoys "accepting challenges and watching as the challengers fail". So, don't challenge him unprepared~
