A Game That Will Surprise You
14K View2022-06-16I started playing Dungeons of Dreadrock with an expectation that it would be just another pixel-art dungeon crawler game, but it turned out to be a completely different experience (in a positive way). The atmosphere, music, and the story narration accompanied with an amazing voice-over are perfectly complementing the story which is also very well written! For a long time I didn't get this feeling of surprise while playing a small indie game. Although it's not exactly small - there are around 100 levels in this game and each level has a unique puzzle to solve. Some of these puzzles made me feel really smart whenever I managed to figure it out by myself. The game forces you to think outside of the box right from the start and the first 10 levels have one of the most intuitive and seemless tutorial sections in my opinion.
Almost every detail in this game have its purpose and you gotta pay close attention to a lot of details in order to solve some of the mind-blowing puzzles. I also like how the developer puts a lot attention to small touches like when the character leaves a bloody trail whenever you walk through a dead monster's body or funny protagonist's comments when you examine various objects of interest. Her comments are always hillarious.
I totally recommend checking this game out since it's free and if you enjoy playing it then you can even consider supporting the developer by buying an ad-free version of the game! Let's all support indie developers a bit more so that we can all enjoy amazing games like Dungeons of Dreadrock.

A Truly Unique Experience
When you first see this game, you may think it is very ordinary, just a retro style dungeon crawling game.
Actually, Dungeons of Dreadrock is a pretty well-plotted puzzle game. This game has almost 100 levels and each level is designed differently. This makes me very impressed.
The only weapon a girl has is a knife, and each level has unknown traps in addition to the threat of monsters. You can also see tributes to other games, such as Zelda and Shovel Knight. Just be prepared to die and try again until the success.

No joking. Dungeons of Dreadrock is one of the best dungeon puzzle games of 2022. When my buddy recommend it to me, I thought it was just a common bite-sized dungeon crawler. But I swiftly realized Judge not a Book by its cover - Dungeons of Dreadrock is absolutely worth a try.
What’s the strong point of Dungeons of Dreadrock? The first, is the level design. Picture the puzzle game we usually played which all the puzzles belong to the same types, right? The only difference is the difficulty. Dungeons of Dreadrock is not the same. It gives me a feeling or vibe of Zelda brought to me, always trying to present some new ideas on the next floor. So for me, even though I learned some tricks or rules in previous levels, there were still some surprises waiting for me.

This game might drive you "Crazy"!
WooooW Before I first played this game, I thought it was a pixel action RPG. But it's a game with great puzzle elements. It's a game that challenges your spirit and has elements that drive players crazy!!!
While some UI elements don't clearly reveal their touchscreen roots, Dungeons of Dreadrock is a well-designed adventure that continues to surprise you with its tricky puzzles and engaging atmosphere.
