Awesome game to play but yes it's true, you wont get anywhere far unless you spend a TON of money just to get enough gems and upgrade em for more Combat Rating. There is no way you can progress the higher lvls of difficulty without spending so much. And for the drop rate of the good quality gems when you use a 10 legendary crest run is bs. You can spend hundreds of dollars and not even get a 3 star legendary gem. To let you in on the obvious scam, you are guaranteed a random legendary gem after 5x 10 legendary crest runs. The highest amount of orbs you can buy is worth $99.99 and with that, the maximum number of 10 crest runs you can do is only 4x...meaning you have to go over that $99.99 just to buy enough for one more run just to have the chance to get a RANDOM legendary gem meaning you can get something as bad as a 2 out of 5 star gem. Do you think its worthit? Definitely not. And that's not all, if you think getting a good quality gem is hard enough, wait till you get to the process of upgrading em. Overall, good gameplay but bad for non spenders. Better off playing something a little less p2w.

It takes effort to get through 15 levels...
Okay for killing time but don't recommend so much. The game has a total of 15 levels to pass through, and it's tedious. If you run out of gems, you lose, thus you must survive every wave of enemies and hold onto AT LEAST ONE gem. And I suggest getting some extra help by casting spells such as cut trees, throw meteor and boost tower's fire rate etc.

So this is my honest opinion after quickly pre registering for this game, install and trying out. To put it bluntly, it's gold encrusted crap....great graphics, that will set your phone on fire after some hours, nice, though limited, customization. But basic repeated missions of killing 100, 200, to 300 monsters. High high high farming is involved and focused around diamonds. You want anything quickly to advance easier, must buy diamonds and of course it's not great. High price for little amount of diamonds. I say little cause compared to the price of things in the market, out rank the price for diamonds. Basically like spending $10 for a blue gear. Just one. It's big open world, createable characters, nice graphics. But if you're not gonna be a heavy whale p2w player then this game's waters are too deep for you. Nearing 8gb for download its alot of content I believe. But you'll never see it without leaving a money trail every step of the way. If you want to experience it, then by all means go ahead. By day 3 if not sooner, I'm sure you'll want to unistall as well. This game main downfall to me is its not giving you any gear from completing quest, or any high monster drops. Played for days and got one weapon drop. A normal type...so unless you farm to death all day in dungeons or spend Hella cash daily, I wish you luck in your endeavors

So I played the beta and the rewards were more forgiving to put it into perspective of how P2W this game truly is. Even though at the start it seems like you get SO MANY gems. It's a way for them to trick you when in reality 100k gems is literally like having none. The beta gave more diamonds the final release if you aren't a spendee you will truly never get good heroes drop rates are super low and again to put it into perspective if you unlock level 6 summoning and opt to do the current banner pulls. Exactly 1.6million gems will give you 20000 points which is equal to over a thousand dollars worth of pulls for a single hero just to get them to 5 stars and then you still have to get them to 5 pink stars (10stars) if you arents an avid spender I'm talking atleast 1000$ plus every 6 months at least this game will get repetitive and boring quickly you will never advance. Past the unique heros it would be virtually impossible for you to ever pull enough to get a maxed legendary. Good luck to you I already requested refunds from Google. I don't plan to play this anymore from beta to current they ruined every aspect of this game. Netmarble use to be a great company and greed has really shown in the last few games. seven deadly sins will forever be the most giving f2p game netmarble has ever come out with.
