I personally don't like pvp. And I'll be blunt, I don't like most pvp players because in my experience 100% of them have been douche bags who are both salty winners and losers. I see it when it's happening between other people and I see it when PKers either kill me for no reason or attempt to but then fail. With that said though, I don't outright hate a game that might have pvp. I hate when games balance for pvp and make the PvE worse because it. I hate when MMOs put more focus on pvp than actually making the majority of game better. The first game I saw that finally fixed this issue was Guild Wars 1 where they'd have pvp and pve effects. That way they can nerf stuff and make it useless for pvp without bothering PvE. Some MMOs do this now days, but they will still make over all changes like cooldown and animation timing changes that ruin it for PvE players. One thing I don't understand tho is why PvP/deathmatch fans want to play MMO's. Like, you can death match all the time in other genres. I can't really MMO in other genres. It doesn't really matter though since all MMOs are doing the same thing..single player story drive with PvP tossed in and zero thoughts of basic co-op features (quest sharing, a story that considers all the other people running around, quests designed to be challenging and not just hack n slash sessions, classes other than DPS and...ranged DPS etc).
