Members of our team and I were all fans of classic SRPG games like Ogre Battle. Therefore, we hope that we can produce an SRPG game that is both story-telling and strategy-based with classic characteristics by ourselves.
Visually, we hope not only to restore the charm of Pixel Art in the Golden times but also to further improve the expressiveness of Pixel-style art through modern 3D rendering techniques.
In the game, you will play the role of Head of Sword of Convallaria Mercenary Group. Besides surviving the conflict of various forces, you shall find a way to peace and salvation for Iria, the war-torn country inflicted by both internal and external troubles. Most of the time, you need to make tough choices.
According to the different choices, the game provides routes with multiple branches and multiple endings.
Your choices and actions will not only affect the direction of the story but also directly affect strategies and gameplay. By building rapport with certain forces, you can get their material support and exclusive mercenaries, and even obtain new simulation modules.
We designed the strategy game based on the goal of "exquisite strategy", trying to bring you a strategy game with distinctive job characteristics, rich interactive elements, and simple operation as its core. There are dozens of mercenary jobs with different styles in Sword of Convallaria. For instance, shield soldiers can use the shield to block and attack and make powerful counterattacks after blocking; archers can guard, launch an attack in the enemy's round and stop the enemy's movement; assassins can move fast regardless of terrain features and is good at launching deadly attacks from behind, etc. ...
There are also many interactive mechanisms on the battlefield: you can ignite the grass with fire, or knock the enemy off the cliff. Making rational use of the terrain will bring twice the result with half the effort.
Same as the classic SRPG games, Sword of Convallaria contains rich elements of character growth. Each job has lots of skills that can be freely learned, selected, and matched. Even characters of the same job can develop its own unique features and characteristics. Skills can form a good combination on the battlefield.
In addition, there are lots of random events, branch storylines, and random growth content in the game, as well as constantly updated game round that launches branches. Hence, the replayability of Sword of Convallaria is higher, and you can have a different experience each time you start a new round of the game.
