1K View2022-07-27Hoplite is an interesting Roguelike and strategy game, in which the player is encouraged to use his best strategies on the field.
Despite being somewhat simple, it is a game that manages to entertain the player for a while.
Regarding technical aspects:
-The gameplay is pretty cool and fun once you get the hang of it, the roguelike elements help with the diversity of the gameplay, but it gets boring with time.
- AI can be challenging.
- Very cool visual effects that match the pixelart style.
-The music track could be better, but even the sound effects are good (not enough to bother).

Great strategic game for time-killing
Pros :
- Quick tutorial
- Easy to understand game play mechanics
- Can play casually
- Can play with just one finger
- Under 20 MB
- Contain achievement and leaderboard
Cons :
- Have another mode called challenge mode but it's paid content
- As the game size is small, graphic and music are not that great
- No more new content
Conclusion
It is a great game to kill time. As a casual game, it has the standing of its own category.

Hoplite is one of those turn-based strategy games providing tactical combat. The game helps the players to practice their critical thinking and problem solving skills which is a beneficial for those who are planning to try this. Unfortunately, the graphics comes as an important role in modern apps and games wherein Hoplite lacks of. The visual representation are too simple that even animation are too plain. Overall, this games may not compete with the current ones, but for those players who would like play a simple game in their phones or tabets during their breaktime, this game might come in handy. #TapTapExploreS1

Hoplite is a retro style rouguelike dungeon crawler RPG where you as a brave knight has to descend in to the chaotic underworld, defeat the enemies and discover the golden fleece.
Gameplay wise, the game is as simple as it gets. You can move around the dungeon floor by tapping on tiles, you can see the enemies range by tapping on them. You have to get close to your enemies by evading their attacks and then defeat them by either attacking them, throwing your spear at them or pushing them into the lava with your shield. As the number of enemies on a floor increases, the complexity increases and you have to think before you make your move. The graphics and the music are reminiscent of retro games and it gives you a wave of nostalgia. There is also an option for legacy graphics which makes the graphics even more retro.
