Survive by daylight!

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror game that has gained immense popularity among gamers since its initial debut in 2016 for PC and consoles. It was later made available for mobile devices in 2020. I tried out the recent revamped mobile version of the game called Dead by Daylight Mobile and had the chance to explore its various features and gameplay. The survivors form a team of four players, taken from a pool of a wide selection of characters, and play in third person view. Their goal is to repair all the generators in the map and activate the exit gate to escape. In many things that they do, such as healing, or repairing generators, there are QTE-like skill checks that you need to perform with a high risk-reward element. The whole premise is very simplistic, but is littered with many interesting elements that make the game exciting for both sides as it plays.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer game where 1 killer tries to take out 4 survivors. As a survivor its up to your teamwork to repair 5 generators and flee. You gotta know the routes, shortcuts, traps and paths on the map to be effective. I lack all those and suffer hard, but overall it was still pretty fun. More in this First Impressions/ Review video from 2022. This video is more of a quick review on the new game. Gameplay looks pretty promising, specifically with all the copycats in its Genre. A lot of unique mechanics and interesting ideas!

So we're currently in the Survivor Game Era, from survivor.io to vampire Survivor and many more survivor games that are built the same way seeing how long you can last while powering up. 1 Bit Survivor tries something a bit different but still very familiar with the format they chose with this game. So The game is played in top down format and you only move to gain gas every day and all of your enemies move per square every time you move so there's a strategy behind your battles. As this game plays just like other roguelikes out there this all have to be done in one run or it's game over. Clicking start gave me heavy resident evil vibes.
