So clover theater is an auto combat turn based RPG featuring monster girls, you may already saw a couple of games like this before.
First, what I like about this game is that the theme of the UI is very commited, it reminds me of Arknights, where you see their buttons and menu and immediately recognized that those are from Arknights. The button are very cute, bright and colorful. Even though this is just a button, I think a lot of games nowadays didnt really put much thought into it, but this part is important because many of todays game which involve auto or you could say it is "main menu the game". If players wont be immersed just by navigating the menu than it would not make people wants to play it for a long time.
Gameplay is simple, players only need to choose and put 5 characters into the slot, 3 Posters that have has buffs for each one. Than the battle will play itself while showing a queue bar that shows whos turn currently and next turn until the end of the battle, this is a pretty good feature in the game because at least I can see things other than the battle itself, because in a lot of auto games, you would like to see the skills, cutscenes, or CG of the characters but after a while you would be bored with it more so if the scene takes a very long time until the move is executed.
So for conclusion, this is a chill game, you can play for a while until you eventually bored of it, or you can keep playing it cause at least the game didnt have any downside like lag or annoying system or anything. I havent played Princess Connect, but maybe it has a bit of similarities here and there.
