We all somehow know about Schrödinger's cat: a cat can be alive AND dead until we open the box to find out. So I knew immediately that it was a cat when some girl called Anna Schrödinger dropped a box at my front door. However, I did not expect it to be literally half alive and half dead.
I am going to be straightforward about what this game is about: puzzles. The game's artstyle may be cute like a cartoon for kids, but the puzzle design itself is not easy. The gameplay is not that straightforward. Luckily there're plenty of hints when you start to cluelessly tap around. Also, you get to customize your own cat, including the name and the appearance. I gave mine a mustache because I always wonder why cats' whiskers have to be white.
(Magnets! I remembered those from my physics class.)
I love the details in this game. It's not just a game that puts a cute cat in a room of puzzles. The cat makes the game different. For example, my favorite part of the game is that all items you find are swallowed by the cats, so you have to tickle the cat to access them. You can also take photos from the mirror with the game's frame.
(Fun detail in the game, worst nightmare for cat owners in reality.)
(I took one picutre of my desk. Yep, I can be both working and playing at the same time too!)
I guess it from the opening credits that this game is also educational, and it is indeed. You can learn something about physics as well. You don't have too. I myself believe that game is meant for fun. But it will be a bonus for those who feel interested.
So in conclusion, Kitty Q is an aodroable puzzle game that is definitely worth your time. Hope you enjoy it like I do!
