Enyo Review: Rouge-like & puzzle forever!

Enyo Review: Rouge-like & puzzle forever!

I've just discovered another hidden gem!! It's call Enyo made by Arnold Rauers
This is essentially a rogue-like puzzle game. Every time you go into this game, the map is randomized, enemies are randomized. Essentially, your goal through this whole thing is to defeat every single enemy that's like based around Greek with all by either attacking them enough.
During experience at them, pulling them into lava, pushing them into spikes, or some other combination of those, which is fun, but since it's a rogue, like, it becomes insanely hard. The only things that stay the same are the mechanics, and the way that the world works, it does give you a basis of knowing what you're doing, but not how you're doing it which is the great part of rouge-like games.

Anyo is based around Greek mythology. So pretty much your character has fallen into the underworld. And now you have to defeat all sorts monsters and try to escape. Since everything is randomized, there's no like set progression of like difficulty increase. It starts hard and continues to be hard. I don't know if that's what they were going for, but based on like the tutorial and how easy it was to get through, versus looking at the actual game, play in the randomized versions of it, and how you have to study either just fail and get a new map or try really hard and just be stuck for a good long period of time trying to get something, or just giving up and letting the enemies kill you.

So you can go retry. Retry is the hardest part for me that I have to watch endless ads video... It's really difficult to make a lot of progress in this game. And there are daily maps which are set in stone, but at the same time, like the entiarest of the game, isn't that? So unless you just want to play daily maths, it's gonna be very difficult. Honestly, I do really like this game. The music and visual is wonderful. It's very stylized and very true to the source material that it's pulling from. The only issues that I have with. It are the fact that it feels sort of broken and unplayable at times, which makes it a little frustrating to play in general. But honestly, I do really like it. It's a fun game when it's not just totally random number generator screwing or lack of a better term.
I'm gonna give it a five out of ten and I super recommend that you should check out.

'ENYO' review
Enyo is a really interesting take on the turn-based puzzle rogue-likes. It is a dungeon crawler mixed with Greek mythology and a ton of fun to play once you get a hang of it. It’s nice to come up with various ways to complete a level whereas many puzzle games only have a single way around it.

A Hellishly Good Strategy Game That's Absolutely Worth Your Time - Enyo Review
I firmly believe that the best strategy games are the hardest to crack. It’s not easy to conceptualize and craft complex scenarios, so I always admire the effort put into a great strategy game. The challenge of solving these problems always feels fulfilling and invigorating, and that’s why I’m always seeking out games like Enyo. Enyo is a tactical roguelike that focuses on using a shield and hook as weapons to defeat various monsters through tile and turn-based combat. It’s also free-to-play for its normal mode, though three other modes (expert, daily, and “odyssee”) are only accessible after paying a one-time fee of $4.99.
