Beautiful Steampunk Puzzle Games
11K View2022-09-05As usual, a straightforward conclusion first: Gear Enigmas is an interesting steampunk point-and-click puzzle game and I love it!
You play Carl, a young mechanician who came home for your sister's birthday. So far it sounds heart-warming, but things went down pretty quickly. You will need to protect your family by solving mysteries.

This game has almost everything I want in a puzzle game: point-and-click, so I can take my time to explore; hand-drawn graphics, so it has this retro/vintage flavor that goes perfectly with mysteries; then steampunk, the charming world where excited things will happen. I won't reveal too much about the storyline here, but I think it's not that complicated. (I have to be honest, after playing Rusty Lake: Roots, no game's story can be called stunning anymore.)
You will have to pay for the entire game, and I definitely think it's worth it. But let's say most of my rating goes to the art style and the music. As for the puzzles, I guess they are good enough.

While it’s been dabbled with in games like Dishonored and BioShock Infinite, the steampunk aesthetic has been surprisingly underutilized in the world of games. Perhaps that’s partially due to some of the appeal of this visual style being its detailed nature. Steampunk blends the traditional fantasy style with Victorian-era industrial vibes. What that means in practice is lots of gears, pipes, levers, buttons, pulleys, and other tiny parts and pieces that can all make up an artist’s nightmare.

I am deeply in love with the charm of the cyberpunk world of this game.
I've seen this game on Steam, but never tried it. After actively downloading and playing through TapTap this time, I deeply felt the charm of this game.
Horizontal 2D, pixel wind, puzzle solving, cyberpunk. Game quality is excellent.
The difficulty of solving puzzles is moderate, which is excellent for casual puzzle solving.
The purple sky, the neon street, the retro-style furniture in the room and the future technology constitute a cyberpunk world in the game.

I love the mysteries that wrap around this puzzle game
The game really focuses on you getting the pieces together on the mystery of the house.
The game is a bit old school when it comes to the graphics which can be really nostalgic, but I would never really turn down puzzles and mysteries.
Alongside, I'm intrigued by how the storyline unfolds, making me want to push the game further.
The game is not really very expensive, and I would really recommend you guys try it.
