A Spectacular 90s style with cyberpunk Action Gun Platformers.

If you grown up for 80s or even 90s, you probably that platformers side scrolling becomes a thing to play that game (Like Castlevania, Megaman, or even Contra). Huntdown are perfect example of the game masterpiece from the 90s and this game is masterpiece and awesomeness!. It released on PC and Consoles, but you can play on Mobile.

The story about 3 Guys that has different ability on it to defeat the gang to fight against the gangs. Anna was an pistol smg like with axe, John was the chin guy was using scope gun with boomerang, and Mow Man was Masked gas that using regular pistol with shuriken.

The game has 4 Chapter, each chapter has 5 level with boss at the end. There's hoodlum dolls, Misconduct, Heatseekers, and No 1 Suspect. Each gangs has different difficulties. The Hoodlum Dolls was Easy, Misconduct was Normal, Heatseekers was Hard, and No 1 Suspect was Extreme.

The gameplay is pretty simple, find the boss to the get to the end. Shoot enemy is very satisfying, and there explosion! This really want to, and explosion are super satisfied, and The gore are here, but it seems was looking pixel. And yes, because the game are pixel graphics, this is really want to as mobile games. Now, the weapon has variations, each weapon has own damage to making defeat bosses or enemies easier. My favorite are bazooka or even like flamethrower or even bunch of machine gun. Now, the games has coop to play simultaneously with friends, and sadly are local multiplayer. To play this, you must connect the Bluetooth control, and then the player must be has Bluetooth controller too. This is really good if not that really like wasting your money to play locally. The design apparently is interesting, making pixel games is good idea. The theme is interesting that making cyberpunk setting is great. While the name "Huntdown" Seems generic, but it catch to play greatly to making side scrolling pixel gun platforming action. There has voices, which it's really like an Sega CD games, it's impressive considering that this games can be voice actor between cutscenes.

The music can be generic, as it was techno style look. But, i'm interesting as the music can be kickass by some of them.

The game has 2 mode: Story Mode was basically play to get to the end, and Arcade Mode, which this mode play just only 1 people, and only five lives. And if you get continue, it decreases your point. And you just ignoring Arcade mode because the arcade just only get high score.

Let's go to the boss. I love the boss designs are great, but good looking goofy bosses. This bosses has different difficulty and different attack patterns to dodge. The problem was sometimes is extremely hard, and it can be unbalanced. But, for myself, i fight the boss and i die many time. But, with patience and got the learn, i fight the boss with learn and patience to calm.

In Conclusion for me, Huntdown are masterpiece, it has balancing and satisfying gameplay, a good design, voice actor and music (despite generic) and has cool but goofy bosses. This really highly recommend if you are retro style games fans.
