Story:
New York, is more like a beast than a city. Explore its darkest corners and
uncover its secrets as Jack Kelly, a former detective who has been
framed for a murder. Degraded and forgotten by old pals, it’s your last
chance to find the truth behind this whole terrible mess.
Pros and Cons:
+ Great Pixel Art
+ No hand Holding (Only for Tutorial)
+ Multiple Endings
+ A interesting story each playthrough
(-) Can get easily lost
(-) You will fail the quest without even noticing it
(-) Might experience Colorful language (Not for kids)
(-) From a mobile phone, the text can be abit small
My Thoughts on "Beat Cop"
I will admit this game takes an interesting perspective of being a police
officer but at the same time when getting a quest, there is not much of
an indication of what is going on or what to even do when you get an
alert.
There are multiple factions to join, got have to remember to charge any
tickets, and arrests, and solve the mystery of the murder/missing
diamonds before your Sargent retires from the force.
While making sure you make your quota of 5+ tickets and earning, along with earning bribes, you have to pay attention to what request is made otherwise you can easily be lost...
Note
that this is only the demo of "Beat Cop" you do have to buy it to get
the full experience but the demo has a good length of gameplay.
They also did a really good job on World Design and pixel art.
Rating:
"Beat Cop" is just one of many unique games found on TapTap

'Ditch the Cops!' review
Have to say this game is beyond my expectation. I thought it would be some random games that have boring gameplay and lots of pop-up ads. The gameplay is simple, just move your finger and drag the car on the screen to avoid hitting the police cars. It's a bit challenging tbh, but very addictive. Would recommend it if you want some game to kill time.

More Like a Beast Than a Cop
*Tips: Adult game, kids out. The usual daily tasks include issuing parking tickets, arresting thieves or wandering around. But to my surprise, the game even allows you to buy drugs or hire ladies for special services. This is a police story from the 80s that I didn't know. The amazing pixel art and cool soundtrack, plus 80s humour. Beat Cop is such a game to play as a newly transferred cop looking to start fresh in a new precinct. When you give a lot of drivers parking tickets, the drivers will often plead with you or even give you money. Yes, that's bribery. You need to make sure no one else finds out.

TapTap
Beat Cop is a captivating mobile game that offers a unique blend of retro aesthetics, humor, and decision-making. With its engaging storyline set in a pixelated 1980s New York City, players take on the role of a framed cop navigating a gritty world. The game's mix of managing daily tasks, solving crimes, and interacting with a diverse cast of characters creates an immersive experience. The branching narrative adds replayability, as choices lead to different outcomes. However, some players might find the gameplay mechanics repetitive. Considering these factors, I'd rate Beat Cop at 4 stars out of 5 for its distinctive concept and engaging gameplay.
