Splendid day my dear viewer, I am as always, your humble reviewer, Delta, the Wolf. Today we will be reviewing Unhappy Racoon, a game confused about the genre it fits in. This one will be just quant.
Before I start, you may already be judging this review before you even have a chance to read it due to what I distinguish myself as, but ne’er fret my dear viewer. This is being presented to you as honest of a review as possible, though I shan’t go without admonshing you that it may sound like that I have a predisposition; if I hastened to deny it what sort of gentlewolf would I be?
Nevertheless, all necessary cautioning given, let us go forth into the review. Cheerio!
  Optimization.
   I do not have a horse in this race being of the fortune to have a higher midrange device, however according to the discord those on lower end devices have issues with battery consumption. However, the game is able to run on the snapdragon four thirty-five, a rather weak chipset.
  Graphics & design.
   Oh, how quant, an area where it may sound like I have tendentious standing. Eh hm, excuse that outburst my dear viewer. The graphics in Unhappy Racoon are good for a mobile roguelike, it is nigh close to Torchlight Infinite, but it is still up there as one of the best. The character design is a cartoon-like furry design, in my humblest of opinions I would say it is pretty good, this is one of the few games on this platform with this design, it is a shame it is not more ordinary. Well, that should conclude the most open-ended portion of this review.

  Controls.
   The controls are an absolute circus, mix terraria mobile with a competent design team and you get Unhappy Racoon's ghastly controls. Excuse my rant there, it is not that bad, with a clear mind let us take a less bigoted look at the controls. The auto targeting in this game is a veritable nightmare, when fighting multiple enemies, it is the equal to giving a child candy then telling that child to focus on a task. The controls can also not be altered, this may not cause some to fret as the game is not a shooter, but it is still worth note. In closing, in my humblest opinion, the controls are bad. Come to your own conclusions my dear viewer but this shall be mine.
    Monetization, skins, progression, gameplay, oh my!
    Now my dear viewer this is the longest, and most important part of the review. The monetization in its current state is horrendous, two characters are paid only, and half of the skins cost ten euro each. In my humblest opinion this isn’t a good design, however according to the community manager this will be changed at launch, the characters that is, they’ll be available by grinding… However, my dear viewer, I would humbly like to point out that e’erything obtained by grinding is a near herculean task, costing over a hundred racoon tokens per item that is bought with the tokens, while you only gain a mere twelve tokens a nebula.
  Now that we have progression, and monetization talked about let us talk about gameplay. As I had humbly said at the start of this review this game has a fundamental crisis in its genre, it most resembles that of a rougelite as it has progression making it more fit the ordinary definition of this subgenre, compared to its hardcore counter the rougelike. So, I will humbly classify it as a mess of, ARPG, rougelite, and dungeon delver. My most monumental complaint, the nebula system. It just makes the enemies tankier, and gives debuffs that should just be randomised in normal play; in its current state it is just a system poorly ripped from Dead Cells, as it shys away from implementing more enemies.
 
Now on that low note I conclude my review of the early version of Unhappy Racoon, it is a promising game but is bogged down with hindrances in its current state.

This is an honest and genuinely well pit together review. I'll probably end up switching games but hey, if the subsequent updates are great I'll stick to it. I find unhappy raccoon charming and immensely fun. Also, regarding targeting. You are spot on, the ranged units are chilling at a good spot. But for the...four? Melee units you're participating in a convoluted dance in order to not jump from enemy to enemy
