Tiny, a simple game with big issues.

Tiny, a simple game with big issues.

Fair winds dear viewer, I am as always, your most humble of reviewers, Delta, the Wolf. Today we are reviewing yet another rougelite, Tiny. This one shan’t be as much of a mess as the last review.
Let us start with gameplay first, as for Tiny gameplay and humour are the only thing Tiny really has going for it.
GAMEPLAY
TapTap
Tiny’s gameplay is simple, even the lame could figure out how to play Tiny; however, as I am trying to give a review, and not give an opinionated statement let me explain my dear viewer. Tiny is a rather basic rougelite, you grind for a currency to get upgrades, as you get more upgrades the enemies go from regular chaps to the ants that find themselves beneath a boot. However, this upgrade system is poor, most firearm upgrades are exceedingly powerful, for instance, like a dishonourable pirate of yore you can use a blunderbuss and send the enemies straight to the river Styx on an express fair. I would not advocate using the blunderbuss; however, instead just buy the AMV or the Ivanov, and like the gallant musketeers of old blast the enemies straight to the heav’ns, I am not romanticising the power of these two rifles, the AMV and Ivanov are genuinely that mighty. Now my dear viewer, you may be asking yourself, “is this Wolf just complaining over nonsense?” What I have to say about that is, nay. For you see, if you only buy one weapon you will always get it on the first stage, causing these powerful weapons to always have them.
TapTap
If I do say so myself, we have tarried too long on the subject of upgrades, and how they are utterly atrocious, let us change our scope to the controls. The controls are standard, straight out of the mould mobile controls, there are only two joysticks, one to move, and one to fire; in spite of how critical I have been about Tiny in the opening of this segment, the controls are the one area I must give Tiny credit, they are simple, and work, not more, nor less to be said here. Swiftly we shall move now to gunplay, the gunplay is clearly designed for humour, there is nay an ammo system, you just let loose. Gunplay is hard to judge in Tiny, but I shall say it is decent, if you disagree, I can humbly understand.
The level system is also an interesting point, but I would say it is decent for what it is, a set of levels that rotate daily with a boss at the end. Not a thing too special, but not worth killing my paws over by analysing it, sorry.
We can now move on, what should be the next aspect we look at? Ah yes, the graphics.
GRAPHICS & DESIGN
The overall design is good, okay I know I shan’t end it there after I made a full paragraph rant for controls, yes my dear viewer? Sigh. The graphics are good for what the game is, the cardboard cutout characters surprisingly fit the saturated palette the game uses. I will say. that it is strange that the graphics are more drab than unicorn puke with how saturated it is, however. The effects are mostly good, the chaotic nature of the comical gunplay combined with the constant explosions from enemy deaths, and the constant puffs of dust make for a funny viewing experience in my humblest of opinions. The traps are mostly visible due to effects as well, so I would give tiny a plus in the graphics department. It is not a Tower of London, but what is, please do not comment pictures of the Tower of London in an ultra realistic game, this was a bad expression.
Some photos for your own judging pleasure;

Let us move on to the last part of our analysis as per usual, the monetization, oh wait, it has none! That is right my dear viewer, in the version I am making a review for there are no IAPs! It is completely free to try. So go ahead if you like, you have not a thing to lose but your time.
CLOSING REMARKS
I just had to add a new section; however, I shall not drop my act here like you would assume. In closing I would say Tiny as of now is a game that is worse checking out at least once, but not investing time into. The game currently has no saving, so the game is as worth putting time into as the Monarchs in the thirteenth century were good.
That will be all for today my dear viewer, thank you for giving me your time of day to read this if you have made it to this point. Your humble reviewer, Delta, the Wolf. (Why do I keep almost calling myself Echo?)

There is actually a third option in settings, an "invisible dash button above the fire button", which might be nice. I only played 1 round but I liked the level system, 2 paths and 1 upgrade per level. However, I'm unwilling to play this game further because of the disgusting static layer on the graphics. It looks absolutely horrendous.

Epic release!! I must say Tiny rekindle my love and non-stop planning/playing, back when Soul Knight were release. Pros ❤️Lots of customization and variation since day-1 release. ❤️Snappy control, befitting genre. ❤️Clever UI/UX. Coming from a developer myself , props for the well-thought interface. ❤️Brilliant enemy placement, windows usage and visibility scope. An epic execution of of multiple element, dare I say.

Amazing First Shooting Action but Horrible Co-op and Endgame Content
Updates At furst I thought the game was perfect however there's one fatal flaw that will completely breaks the game if not solved now... I will rate each content it has as following 1) Gun mechanics - Ironically this game does not have weapon power creep because of character. It's mostly the weapon type. If it's not the same as the character the damage will be lower and that is all. Also every guns are fun to play without any problems.
