My review of the beta is based on having also played the original TapTap exclusive release.
First, let's talk about inconsistency in translation. The tutorial mentions upgrading, but directs you to an "Enhance" button. This is not a major issue, since there is no confusion about the button you press and what it accomplishes. It becomes a bit cloudy when you are later directed to upgrade and it presents an "Upgrate" button. Below this is an "Upgrade All" button, but later is another "Upgrate" button. The typos are intentional, as that is how they appear in the game.
Summoning requires scratching a ticket. While I can easily get into a discussion about how this is gambling for children, let's just focus on this being a clever and original way to reveal characters. I am not sure there is any need for auto scratch to be a thing. It seems almost like insulting my intelligence to perform the entire process on my behalf, rather than simply skipping to the results with a skip button.
The game is still as I remember it. The use of comic book pages to tell the story and handle the information was a great choice and it is well animated. Every page that opens feels like you are actually interacting with an actual comic book.
This was one of the first games that introduced me to the rock-paper-scissors elements. Even the icons for minor things like this are detailed and show a level of effort most games do not invest on anything not available as a premium purchase.
Speaking of purchases, there is a lot of pushing for paid items in betas these days. I am not fond of how much a game wants to sell me when it is still trying to sell itself as ready for release.
I have fond memories of the original version and do hope that the same effort placed into that version will be put into this one. For now, it good enough to play, but still needs a lot of cleanup.

lol wow I'm completely in awe by ur in depth summarization of the game!! very nice review and everything u have said thus far is true and I've only been playing going on 3 days, sad part is a lot of ppl can't login ATM, but I'm sure the will fix it..nice review.
