As part of the next phase of development, Blizzard will hold regional alpha tests for Diablo Immortal later this year. The purpose of these tests is to receive "invaluable" feedback from players about the game, said Activision. While no exact date and no further information were given for at the moment during the conversation, the test would be happen sometime in mid-2020.

Activision also reveals that Blizzard and developer NetEase are working closely on the project to ensure that the game would be the most authentic Diablo experience. The mobile version presents a "very substantial" opportunity for the developer, and it is currently working on multiple mobile initiatives in addition to PC and console games.
