If there ever was a crime-sandbox that could stand up to GTA, Sleeping Dogs would be it. A truly underrated classic that every gamer should give an honest chance to.
Everything from the graphics, sound-design, setting, story, characters, combat, driving, side-activities, and fun factor, are all on point. I can't think of any other way to improve it. I've been gaming for about 15 years and Sleeping Dogs is one of my all time favourites. The world feels alive and lived in, the characters have flaws and feel real, the voice acting is compelling, the music is great and the radio has some underrated artists. The best part is the combat, which relies on melee more than gunfights, and has a meaningful sense of progression, it never gets old.
I've played it 4 times, on 3 different platforms, and I won't mind 100%ing it again. Seriously, if you haven't, please give this game a chance.
PS- The game is a few years old, so it will run on most PCs out there, plus it's dirt cheap. And you can play it on most platforms.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
I was a fan of the console release.
Tried this before the remaster fiasco.
Overall I was disappointed. It feels clunky under the thumbs and despite the nostalgia I didn't want to play this on mobile with sub par graphics.
Don't get me wrong, the game itself is still great, how it feels on mobile in 2021 is another thing altogether.
I wish I hadn't bought it now, some things should stay in the past so that their memory stays gold.

BEST START FOR OPEN WORLD BESIDES GTA
if you're tired of playing gta there's lot of open world games that you can try such as borderlands, sleeping dogs, or maybe this one... watch dogs
this game is pretty great for an old game let me tell you why
🎮 Gameplay: this game really have an interesting gameplay back then, we're playing as a grey hat hacker you can also use different gadget (8.7/10)
📖 Storyline: it's also have a great story and character design it's like an edgy but still cool-looking character like aiden being so iconic just being that cringe edgy old man lol (8/10)

Far Cry 3. The Only game in recent memory that has made me care deeply about the main character and sub-protagonists as well as hate the bad guy with a burning passion... IN REAL LIFE. I couldn't put it down!
