Dead By Daylight mobile beta started up, so we're going to have a real quick look at it.
First off if you don't know what Dead By Daylight is, perhaps you're a mobile only gamer and you
know of Identity V. Identity V was actually supported by the Dead By Daylight developers and is heavily based off that game. It has done so well in Asia that the Dead By Daylight devs themselves have decided to bring their very own game to mobile as well.
This is a multiplayer survival horror game in which 4 people try to escape one killer. There are several maps that have generators scattered across them that the survivors must find and repair in order to power up the heavy gates that block the exits.
You can choose to either play as a survivor, or the killer. The killer of course must try to prevent the survivors from repairing the generators and find them in order to sacrifice them to "the entity"
Alright so lets talk about the game itself. First off lets keep on mind this is just a beta test and
there will obviously be glitches and the game is not in its finished state.
The first thing I'll say is the graphics seem a bit blocky and definitely could be a lot better.
Though the PC version of Dead By Daylight isn't the best looking game either, and most people play it because it's very fun and has an awesome progression system.
There's actually a very hardcore competitive DBD community. In the game as you play you'll level
up your survivor and or killer and even have access to a ranked matchmaking
system where you can try to become the best in the world.
There are several different survivors and killers you can choose from each having unique skill
sets from faster vaulting speeds to faster repairs or heals and so on. In total there are 14 survivors and 12 Killers, and you get access to 3 Survivors and 2 killers for free. There are
also skill trees and items and tons of other things to customize the gameplay to your liking.
You can buy the items with, and only with Bloodpoints that you earn by playing the game. The
only thing you can get with real money is auric cells which are used to buy cosmetic skins and other survivors or killers. You can also earn a 3rd currency in the game called iridescent shards that you can buy survivors, killers, or skins with, though there are a couple of survivors and killers that you can only buy with the real money auric cells, but still I'm happy to say that it
seems right now that the game isn't pay to win at all.
To sum things up, I think they still have a long way to go to make the gameplay a bit more smooth, and hopefully work on some better graphics options. Identity V feels a lot
better than DBD as it is right now, but I'm sure Dead By Daylight will do much better in the West than Identity V has. I should also probably point out that Dead By Daylight is way more realistic and gorey than Identity V is, so that difference alone might make the game more attractive to some people.
Anyway that's it for our real quick look at Dead By Daylight mobile. I do recommend checking it out and downloading it from TapTap. I love these types of games and it seems very
free to play friendly. Thanks for reading!
