Neural Cloud is Gacha hero collector (Strategy/RPG) mobile game that have really nice graphics, interesting and innovative combat mechanics. My expectations were blown away by how good the game is and all that it have to offer. Now lets go over whats so special about Neural Cloud.
Combat
Combat is semi-auto in the game, but you can adjust the heroes starting position, use their ultimate skills, and special skills that can move teleport heroes on the battlefield, replenish energy, stun and affect gameplay in one way or another. It might not seem like much, but overall those options offer pretty good variety of strategies to use in combat.
Fighting animations are fantastic, each character have their own style, skillset and abilites. But what I liked the most is ultimate skill animation. The moment when one of your heroes uses ultimate skill you will get short Anime with that character and it looks just gorgeous.
Neural Cloud Characters
Characters in Neural Cloud are called dolls. Most of them are female characters with really cool art, but there are some male husbandos as well, so its not only waifus this time. Overall each character design is very well thought, with their appearance and skills being interconnected.
At the moment there are 3 tiers of hero rarity on summons. From 1 to 3 stars, where 3 stars are very rare and hard to get. Although from time to time Neural Cloud have summoning events for specific banners and heroes, where you will get higher chances of getting specific hero.
There are 5 classes in the game: Guard, Sniper, Warrior, Specialist and Medic. As always you can expect specific abilities and stats based on the class. For example usually Guards are good tanks, and Medics are healers, but its not always the case.
Neural Cloud Progression
Progression in Neural Cloud is different from other hero collector and gacha games as well. Its still campaign stages, events, arena and so on, but its done totally different from what Ive seen so far in those kind of games.
Each campaign stage is like an adventure, where you will travel the nodes with fights, bonuses, healing and so on. When you defeat an enemy in the nodes you will get a function. Function is a modifier that adds additional properties to some hero classes and/or their abilities.
So as you go through the nodes you will get more and more of those Functions trying to get the best ones for your team. It adds a little bit of roguelike mechanics to the game and allow you to exploit different builds.
You will also have a base that you will upgrade, a lot of progressions for each character (like their personal story) and such. Overall game have a vast amount of options for you to explore.
Conclusion
Neural Cloud managed to succeed where other failed. It have interesting combat, nice character design, a lot of progression options and some appeal thats hard to resist. The only question remains is how f2p or p2w the game is, but it requires a lot more time to discover that. Lets just hope that monetization is fair.
We hope that this Neural Cloud review helped you to learn something new about the game or make up your mind about buying it. If you have your own thoughts on Neural Cloud, let us know in the comments below.
