Bendy and the dark is a grueling awesome and still carry that twisted cartoon grotesque world that made bendy and the ink machine super popular. This time around this sequel takes place 10 years later after Henry was trapped in the ink world. Right from the start the game starts to show why his survival horror game is meant to Taken a bit more seriously from Long spooky corridors almost anything is trying to get you killed on top of anxiety inducing stealth areas. The first mission starts similar to the first game on how Henry started up the ink machine by putting the artifacts together. This time we have a new mysterious antagonist by the name of Wilson who forces you into the ink world.
Once you get into the ink world you can definitely see there's a lot of graphical improvements and the game looks amazing and really roping in that horror aesthetic. After navigating your way through the ink world you'll meet your first friend by the name of Alice. For most part of the early levels you'll be defenseless so using crouch to sneak and hiding is your best way to defend yourself until you get your weapon which is the gent pipe. Now combat is pretty simple close to how the first game was like and of course hitting the lost ones in the head, in which is the primary enemy you'll come across you'll get used to them fairly quickly. Which is still interesting seeing the lost ones still repeating there daily routines as if they were still in the real world.
From my observations, I haven't seen too much callbacks to the first game. Except the particular encounters players will have when meeting Joey Drew himself as memories and learning that Audrey is actually Audrey Drew the little girl from the end cutscenes from the first game and as well as Alice is the same Alice from 10 years ago who helped Henry and as well as Another gameplay mechanic that helps with combat is the abilities Audrey can learn on her adventures throughout the Ink studio and These abilities definitely adds a twist to the gameplay.
Bendy and the Dark Revival's graphics are also gorgeous, complementing its excellent audio design. Audrey design is absolutely gorgeous and probably my favorite design in the game. Partially claimed by the ink, her glowing eyes and sole black limb give her an ethereal, haunting appearance. The once-grand studio Audrey explores is a crumbling, dilapidated mess oozing with glistening ink. While Bendy and the Dark Revival is impressive for an indie horror game, it doesn't compare to AAA titles.
Enemy models lack variety, it's possible to become stuck at particular puzzles or sequences, and the game's final challenge feels half-baked. Some of the Dark Revival's scare mechanics, like the Ink Demon's random appearances, lose their impact after the first hour of gameplay. Bendy and the Dark Revival remains a worthy sequel to Bendy and the Ink Machine, and is a contender that can likely stand up to some of some great horror games in 2022 and what's even Better is that at $29.99 USD, the game is very fairly priced.
