Station 117 is a first-person point and click mystery puzzle adventure mobile game with lots of hard puzzles that will surely confuse your mind. I really loved the interesting technicalities of clues and how they were useful to get to the next room area. Rarely have I found a puzzle game with such a good character voiceover, with nice sense of humor. I also really appreciated the camera that could take picture of the clues for future use in the game. Its a great quality of life feature. With interesting storyline, its surely quite easy to connect with the protagonist of the game.
The game could have been much better with 3D graphics implementation with character on first person view or second person view perspective. The gameplay mechanics is pretty simple with just point and click on the screen to interact with the game elements and sorting out clues/puzzles. On the other hand, the tools provided to the protagonist are very convenient in the game. I have not encountered a puzzle game with a camera snapshot feature so far. And this game provides one! This surely is very handy on solving the current puzzle on hand.
Hints are also present in the game, which you can use in case if you get lost or confused. But personally, I don't prefer using hints as it takes away the main fun of the game. If you can connect your clues with the given hints, the game is pretty easy. The story plot of the game is pretty awesome as you can keep getting more and more story information from left out tape recordings, computer logs and so on. On top of that, the character keeps connecting the storyline together with good humor.
Overall, this game is a great puzzle experience for any puzzle game lovers out there. It could have been much better with 3D graphics details. The camera-photo feature is very unique and I think other puzzle games need to provide the camera feature as well. Lots of puzzles and clues will definitely keep you very busy while playing this game. Try it out!
