Fallout Tactics, unfinished but good

Fallout Tactics, unfinished but good

Let us drop the British impression for this one, I know, astonishing. Why you may ask yourself, well my dear viewer, today we are reviewing Fallout Tactics. I am your most humble of reviewers, Delta. Oh and dare say, wasn’t I meant to switch from this dashing impression? This is another review in my series of defiance to PC reviews being so popular now, as this game can be emulated.
Graphics.
In terms of graphics tactics has little going for it, aside from isometric charm, personally my viewer I do not mind this, however, for your average mobile gamer, this might just well prove quite troubling. There is not much to say here unless you are playing modded, let us move quickly on.

Gameplay and customization.
As this is the only section that can only be elaborated on in this review let us dive right in. Before starting as a new member of this Brotherhood's army you can create your own character, the character creation is the exact same as that of Fallout 1 and 2, though unfortunately, the system has drawbacks from this game's short development time, such as speech and charisma being useless. If you don’t fancy yourself a character creator you can choose some presets, and if you are on PC this is where the real fun of this game begins! You can use the game's toolbox to make your own characters with any race in this game. Here are some examples.

Now, let us get into the actual game, and let us just say the level design here is beautiful. The maps in this game are some of the best in the fallout series, though I will not spoil any of them as this is another shortfall of the game, due to its worse than New Vegas’ development cycle, the content in this game is lacking, I would highly recommend picking up Equilibrium for its content and cut content restoration. As for the gameplay, it is an improved version of classic fallout, allowing for a Baldurs Gate-style system with aiming, or a more tactical turn-based system for a traditional strategic experience.
It is a pretty well-developed system, especially with melee characters, it works a lot better than the system from fallout 2 feeling a lot more fluent. Though the controls are a bit janky but are not configurable, so at least on PC it will take time to learn, and also I will warn you, medical supplies should be rationed, so melee may cause you to reach a soft lock.
I cannot really think of any more points to bring up.

Also before we leave, a quick tip for those of you handling the game's toolbox, deathclaws and animals can pick locks and open doors… Have fun, if you need a tutorial on the toolbox just ask, I am happy to help.  ^w^
They can also lob grenades :3

Closing statements.
The game is fun, try it if you are into classic strategy games, or strategy games in general, there are some issues with loading it up on PC but there are plenty of guides on steam explaining the process better than I could. It is unfortunate that this game had not gotten a full development cycle, this game showed promise despite not being within the norms of the franchise.
I am as always your most humble of reviewers, Delta. Thank you for reading this out of the regular mould review, we shall be returning to your regularly scheduled New English wolf acting like a normal English wolf on the next one if all goes to plan. Cheero ladies and gents.
(Trust the stupid wolf to make a review for the one game staff hasn't made a tag for >w>)

This is not a drill! Epic Games has been continuing its yearly Christmas-time tradition of giving away a free game (or two or three) every day for two weeks. There have been some prime hits already, but today's free gifts are especially excellent. Today (December 22, 2022) and today only (or, well, until tomorrow morning), you can log on to the Epic Games Store and get free copies of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

how to ruin a good fallout game
this game is a perfect example of how a greedy developer ruins fallout universe. Well done. drop rates are absolute sh*t, making the game not enjoyable, I just spent 20k prewar money to get 1 SSR char once! and it took a month to collect. After months of gameplay I have no SSR tank. also characters you did not hear about in fallout series are op here, showing no respect to the fallout universe. English is also bad, even after text corrections. overal evaluation - not worth your time and definitely not your money. I'm deleting it.

2015's Fallout 4 is a First-Person, role-playing, mutant slaying adventure! 📖 Storyline: YOU, the sole survivor, have survived in Vault 111, after being cryogenically frozen for over 150 years, your wife is dead, and 4 month child has been kidnapped. 🎨 Graphics: They hold up! Despite being released in 2015, they still are amazing 👍 Pros: VATS, The music, characters and dialogue. 👎 Cons: Story is too short, progression is wonky.
