This game got me hooked for hours straight away. I wanted to test it a little bit and then in a blink of an eye 3 hours passed by and I am trying to make my village work and maximize the income from eggs and rabbit poop.
Stacklands 2 Gameplay
Stacklands 2 is a very peculiar mix of town builder, card game and a survival game. You will get different card packs, open them and use the cards that are inside to refine, merge and change your playing ground.
There are different types of cards out there: villagers, resources, land plots, research cards and enemies. You can interact with cards by making a deck of several cards and that might transform them into something new. For example 2 sticks and 1 wood will transform into spear. And you can merge spear with a villager to get militia population, who is a better fighter.
Game doesnt do a lot of explaining, so it up to you to find out the different combinations, mechanics and secrets in the game. You can randomly stumble upon something or get the idea card, that will show you the recipe. Personally I rarely got good random matches, but as you play the game you will learn its mechanics more and more and will be able to progress faster.
Your villagers will need food every cycle and you can also get attacked by enemies, so survival can be challenging at first. Once you progress a little bit more and learn important recipes for unlimited sources of wood and stone it will get easier.
The further you are into the game the more complex it becomes and more fun your experience will be.
