Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is the ideal companion for someone searching for some on-the-go RPG goodness because it is addictive, deep, and just a little bit insane. Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is a very, very good strategy role-playing game (SRPG), with a good plot and tonnes of gameplay features to keep you occupied for hours. There is plenty here for anyone to enjoy, whether they merely want to play through the main story or explore the extensive post-game features. Tedious grinding is essentially gone.
As the story goes, you play as Valvatorez in Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited, a former Netherworld dictator who has abandoned his terrible ways as a result of a promise he previously made. Valvatorez no longer consumes human blood and instead instructs brand-new Prinnies in how to perform their duties. Valvatorez jumps into action after the Prinnies are abducted before he can keep his promise to them. He finally learns that the destruction of all Prinnies was ordered by the Netherworld Corrputernment. That's plenty to shake Valvatorez out of his pride, and he immediately begins a full-scale insurrection.
There are various chapters to the game, each with a different amount of maps to complete. Each map is a region divided into squares that has different landscape and other gimmicks, much like a board game. The way battles are fought is turn-based. First, the player moves and positions all of their characters before assaulting. Next, it is the enemy's turn to do the same. Positioning is crucial because if an attacker hits a character's back or sides, part of their chances of evading the assault will be lost, and the character may even sustain greater damage. The attacking player character can also receive various bonuses if they are higher up on the terrain than the target. However, if the height difference between the attacker and enemy is too great, they won't be able to attack the target at all. Disgaea 4 offers a lot of content outside of battle, most of which will be recognizable to those who have played earlier games in the series. Be prepared to receive a tonne of information throughout the first few of hours if you are unfamiliar with the earlier games.
In conclusion, this game has lots of contents that you can enjoy with a great storyline and good combat system. Endless grinding is the main feature of this game where you try to max level your characters to level 9999 and get those juicy damages hitting more than million points damage. Try this game out for an epic saga adventure with lots of fun battles and in-game contents. Definitely, this game is worth playing!
