I really enjoyed playing Sky: Children of the Light, its a nice relaxing game for a change, and it really helps to chill after a stressful day. This is a visual, musical and social experience with a background story that is being told without any words.

Sky: Children of the Light is a visual adventure, where you will play as a kid carrying a magical light that can restore your fellow souls to life and saving them. You can use magical candle and share your light with the surroundings. It makes other candles light up, spirits rejoice and you can also interact with other players

Yes, Sky: Children of the Light have a multiplayer element. You can interact with other players in the social areas. Chat, use emotes and make fun sounds together. And thats not it. You can even call for a guide, and when you will find a player who decides to help you you will be literally guided by the hand through the area collecting other souls and spirits.

Sky Children of the Light Progression

So how do you progress through the game? There are several progression mechanics in the game.

First one is character progression. Basically you will have to find lost souls, that will offer you wings upgrades. When you collect enough of them you will get more energy that you can use to fly higher.

Another form of character progression is getting different gear and emotes. Overall its a cosmetics stuff that wont affect your gameplay. But considering that social mechanics are important part of the game it might be interesting to find some rare appearance item or emote.

And the last but not least - Area progression. There are 6 areas total, and you have bunch of souls to free in each of those. So 100% game completion might be another fun goal to chase.

Pros

Fantastic graphics and feel of the game. Is hard to explain, but there is something very calming and relaxing in the gameplay

Background music and sound design. If you play Sky Children of the Light without the headphones or sound you are losing a lot. Sound adds a lot to the feel of the game.

Friendly community. So far, my experience with the community is fantastic. Even though communication options are limited everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Cons

Vague goals. Even though main game goal of each stage is obvious getting secondary goals, some hidden souls and so on might be problematic.

Tutorial is lacking. Its fun on the one hand, but sometimes lack of the tutorial is making things harder. Some game mechanics might need more explaining.

Sky Children of the Light Verdict

Sky Children of the Light is a fantastic experience full of cute and relaxing vibes. As you move through the game you will go though different areas you will see a lot of breathtaking events. If you want to relax and shake off some stress this game is a good pick. Other than that visuals and sounds in the games are calming as well, so if you like that kind of stuff you should defo go for it.
