Summary:
The world after global warming. Humanity has taken refuge in three gigantic underwater cities at the bottom of the ocean.
For lack of space, those expelled from the cities barely survive on the burned lands. Meanwhile, the megacities exchange millions of containers loaded with goods every day.
At the command of ultra-fast boats, a few inhabitants of the underwater cities started stealing these precious containers to deliver them to the banished.
Some are more successful than others.
My Experience
So this game takes old arcade games and fuses them with roguelike mechanics abit, meaning for container(s) you require, you get randomized upgrades to your ship, which may make the game easier or way more complicated.
What I like: Addictive GameplayThe excellent soundtrack and graphics with how fluid the water looks. A lot of improvements since the demo from the " Steam Next Fest Event." So far, I like how challenging this game is, even though it's a simple mechanic. Even though I die in the game, you gain new upgrades and changes to the game little by little.
What I don't like: Slight Balancing issues here and there with the points you get from collecting containers Sometimes, the progression feels abit slow.
Pros and Cons of SwordShip
Pros:
Great Graphics,
Addictive Gameplay
Excellent SoundTrack
Various Upgrades changes
It works great on the Steam Deck
Cons:
Some Unbalancing with Containers
Progression is abit slow
It can get increasingly difficult
Verdict:
So after playing this game at the "Steam Next Fest event," the gameplay is addictive and has excellent graphics and design. Without making the game too easy, usually having weapons, I find Swordship very challenging and unique.
SwordShip gets the rating: Do Recommend!
