Don't let the generic name fool you! Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is actually a fantastic mobile RPG that has its own identity...and no gacha nonsense! It mixes together cute, Paper Mario-style visuals with simple, tap-based navigation, Pokémon- esque creature collecting, and a rather large world to explore.
I can't emphasize enough how nice it is to find a great, old-school RPG for mobile devices that isn't full of monetization! Epic Battle Fantasy 5 has a couple of purchases you can make—to remove ads and to get some extra content—but I was happy to pay up in support of a developer who isn't trying to suck every last dollar out of my bank account.
On top of that, Epic Battle Fantasy 5's combat is simple but has enough depth that I haven't gotten bored yet. The game also has a full console or PC RPG's worth of content, lasting over fifty hours if you try to complete every quest and collect every hidden goody.
In other words, I'm going to be playing this one for a long while yet, and I'm definitely going to check out more games from developer Kupo Games.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is an interesting RPG game. I like the anime style artwork, but the art style also varies a lot. There's different styles for different situations, and there's one style that looks a lot more like a childrens book art style over an anime style. The combat is fun though, and I appreciate that there is no auto combat in the game.
I do think the end combat music resembles the Final Fantasy victory music a little too much, it is recognisable, even if it's not exact. The game likes to make fun of itself which is also quite funny too. All in all this game is fun, and it could be a great free mobile RPG to play.

A great RPG with easter eggs from old classic games. A nice turn-based battle system with no pay to win features.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is an over-the-top turn-based RPG adventure, full of video game references, juvenile dialogue, and anime fanservice (...and also strategic combat, monster catching, and tons of treasure hunting - if you're into any of those.)
