Resoance of the Ocean Left Me With More QUESTIONS Than Answers...
2K View2022-12-26Resonance of the Ocean is a really short and sweet game. You have to just listen to the sounds that are playing and try to match the sounds based on the items scattered around the beaches in order to play them back. While this is cute and there is a bit of lore in the game, I feel like I was left with more questions than answers by the time I completed it. Why is this person on this island? Are they abandoned? What was the journal of the last person who lived there all about?
It seemed like there was a tragedy and they thought they were the last person alive? And why did you need to repeat the sounds to the wind that you heard? Who was playing them. I thought someone was going to come and rescue you at the end, that didn't happen. Yes the game is cute, yes the music was nice to listen to when there was music. But the rest is kind of confusing to me. I just felt like I needed more story or a proper conclusion.

Gameplay wise the game has you collecting various items around the beaches in order to match up the sounds you are hearing over the wind. As the days progress, the items needed become more complex and can take a bit of trial and error to find the correct sounds.

same here I have a theory that the girl or boy was abandoned and the the singular rock close of the house was a grave and that the journal was about someone that used to make sounds for the other island and died of malnutrition and when the girl or boy made sounds the sound responded. this is all I have in mind sorry if I'm wrong
