Frozen City is a city building game and you can kind of experience a real snowy environment while playing this game. The game has a story too which I am not quite that fan of, to be honest. It’s a regular story concept where an apocalypse hits a village and you need to rebuild it and claim rewards for every missions you complete. The gameplay is about building towns, collecting resources and exploring the wild while fulfilling the survivor’s basic needs like food and shelter. Also, we must be able to maintain the temperature to cope up with the environment as there are not many survivors left.
It is moderately enjoyable for me, not into building games at all. The artwork looks fine, lots of vibrant colors gives a happy feeling although it’s a apocalypse faced village, hehe. The music is quite boring but I guess its trying to give a sad vibe for the calamity that the village has faced. Rather than that, the game is all about battling the freezing cold and maintaining the supply of basic needs. We also need to assign the remaining people in different positions like workers, hunters etc. We can even collect armies or gang to help the town grow but are you able to find them and make them your followers.
Overall, the game is quite time consuming and lengthy so I kind of didn’t enjoy playing it. Plus, the concept of building cities and town is quite a regular one, so for me it’s a little bit boring. But, if you like playing building games, collecting things then this game could be your gateway.
