Lord of Mask is a great idle mobile game that really anyone can enjoy. The game has a ton of different character-building options. You can freely distribute skill points however you want. The game features lots of different stats you can invest in. One problem some may face is that the game has 5 different currencies in the game and they all can be used for different upgrades or buying things. Each currency has a certain game mode you need to play in order to acquire that said currency. You don't really do any fighting yourself but more just watch the battles and play manager. Think of it as the manager of a sports team. You don't actually play but you make the decisions that can influence the outcome of your progress.
The main theme is trying to collect these powerful masks from different bosses. Once you defeat a special boss you then get their mask and have access to a new ability. The equipment system is very well done because it features easy one tap buttons for quick combines and equipping new gear. I think the UI is extremely clean and easy to navigate. The important things just pop right up on the idle screen so you don't have to constantly be going back and forth in the menus. The game has solid audio with nice background music and subtle sound effects. The art style and graphics are superb and make it fun to just sit and watch the battles unfold.
The monetization in the game is typical for a mobile game of this caliber. It features many different packs and ways for you to spend real life money. The game also has a 1-time payment to remove ads entirely. This is probably the best pack to purchase because it means no more watching ads for power ups. The game lets you watch an ad for a atk boost, hp boost, etc. Buying the ad removal pack lets you instantly use these any time. The game has several different game modes, but they all have the same concept. All they really do is give you one of the five different currencies. Overall, I think it's a great game to play for the long haul. The game does involve a lot of grinding though so be warned. One area has 100 levels you need to complete before you can move to the next. This is a game you pretty much need to just have running constantly in the background for you to really see a ton of progress. I give this game a score of 7/10
