It is known that the Devil May Cry series has a distinctive gothic visual feature. And elements like church and religion are essential to goth. And therefore, the development team made their effort in creating churches in Devil May Cry Mobile.
Take a look at the original scripts.
You can feel the solemn just by standing in front of the church. The sunlight shines on the church hall through the stained glass and the stone pillars.
Be warned, “Mind the evil beneath the holiness.”
Let’s take a closer look.
The team chooses grey as the main color to depict the church. Above the players' heads is a pointed double-arched roof, decorated with golden lily patterns. Under the players' feet is a blue-grey marble floor. A few steps away, there is a tall pillar. There are four large pillars in the depth of the hall, supporting the double-arched roof, under which is the center. And there is the very center of the church, where congregates all the believers.
There is a trap door behind the arch, where hides the other half part of the chapel. In order to have access to it, players need to complete the puzzles first. And yes, just like the previous Devil May Cry series, the mobile version keeps the tradition of solving puzzles. It adds excitement for the gaming experience while serving as guidance for players to move on. As the game continues, the form of the trap door change in CG as well. Such meticulous design allows players to enjoy the breath-taking gothic visuals and lead them to continue the game smoothly.
Quite impressive, right?
