Primitive Era is a new base building war game that is no different than the rest, at least when it comes to core gameplay. The main objective is for you to build up your town and attack another real live player's base. The best part about the game is by far the other people you will play with. These types of war games tend to have very friendly people in them which makes it loads of fun. The graphics are extremely well done when it comes to the heroes and troops. The images are down in a 2D photo realistic way. This graphical approach really brings to life the heroes and makes them look life like.
The theme of the game gives this tribal like feel to it. It's supposed to take place around 10000 BC time era. The open world looks nice and has many different animals for you to attack for resources. You can also send your troops to gather supplies from a resource tile. However, doing so can make you vulnerable from an attack by a stronger player. The game is overall fun and enjoyable but is extremely pay to win like all base building war games. The cash shop has tons of different packs and ways for you to spend real life money in order to get an advantage over your enemies.
The positive thing can I say is they at least give you different options when it comes to spending real money. They have 99 cent packs all the way up to the famous $99.99 packs. Spending money gives you a big advantage over someone who doesn't. Even just spending 10 dollars can put you way ahead of someone who spends nothing. The game has some fun events that are competitive but again in order to really have fun and rank at the top you better be prepared to spend some serious money. Overall, is a solid game for what it is but it doesn't deliver anything new to the base building war game genre.
