UFO99 - A FUNTASTIC, BRIGHT & COLOURFUL Game Full of Entertainment!

UFO99 is an interesting game, you play as a UFO that is trying to kill all these bizarre block creatures and to be honest, it's not that bad. Gameplay wise, the controls are very simple. You just need to move around with the left thumb virtual joystick and activate the electric shield with your other thumb. All while trying to dodge the alien creatures that shoot at you and use their extended appendages to kill you, while you try and pick up the bombs, and hammers to kill them, and collect the gas tanks to extend your time. Honestly once you learn the timing on when to use your electric shield, and realise that the shield also gives you a burst of speed, you can manage to get to the boss encounters pretty easily.

Somerville is a sci-fi adventure / puzzle game where you control a man and his family caught up right in the middle of an alien invasion doomsday scenario. The opening sequence starts relatively slow: what's presented to you is a slice of life in a small farm house: A couple, a toddler, and a dog. The presentation feels very surreal that you almost can relate to it, especially with the random static noise emanating from the family TV. Then the mysterious somber nature ramps up rather quickly into a full blown alien invasion, perfectly capturing that feeling of being randomly caught up in it on a personal level. You can just about see yourself in the character’s shoes while playing. Imagining if such things happened to you and your family instead.
