In 2022, Epic Games offered four Creative concert experiences in Fortnite, and now we have our first in 2023. The performer will be Australian rapper/singer The Kid Laroi, and his concert will include a slew of new cosmetics, including two new skins, two emotes, and a slew of other new cosmetics, some of which will be free.
The Kid Laroi cosmetics are supported by two creative experiences: the Wild Dreams island with a "immersive aural experience" and the Wild Dreams Afterparty island. These islands will be open for three months, until April 27th. Furthermore, in the Kid Laroi Cup on Tuesday, January 24, you may obtain some of the Kid Laroi cosmetics for free.
But what about The Kid Laroi makes him deserving of all this Fortnite adoration? The Kid Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, was born in Sydney and gets his stage name from the Gamilaraay, also known as the Kamillaroi, an Australian Aboriginal group from which he is descended. His grandfather was one of the Stolen Children of Australia, who were taken from their Aboriginal families by the Australian government a century ago. Growing up in difficult circumstances, he didn't have an easy upbringing, and in 2015, his uncle, who served as a father figure in place of his own father, who was sometimes absent, was killed.
