I mean, it is basically Torchlight Lite. Has the "vibe" of Torchlight, but the "mobile game" feeling still comes through.
If you like Torchlight and mobile games, you will probably enjoy this. The microtransactions seem MUCH less pushy than Diablo Immortal was, and outside of the season pass purchase, I don't really see any P2W elements.
It is more on par with microtransactions in PoE, more cosmetic, with allowing customization to character skins, weapon skins, weapon effects, wings, footprints, spell effects, etc.
The story is "meh" and the voice acting is a little too cringe to my liking, but some may enjoy it. Personal taste in the end.
It is F2P, so go ahead and try it out and see how you feel, won't cost you a dime. If they keep adding to the game and polishing it up from player feedback during early access, it has potential.
Remember, PoE struggled at first too, and now it is one of the biggest F2P ARPG's out there. Time will tell.

Torchlight: Infinite, from the short time I've played it (so far) brings the joys of the Torchlight universe that I came here for. As the game is in beta, I won't post a full review (or try to), however keep going in the direction you are, and I'm sure on full release everyone will enjoy it. So far the graphics remind me of Torchlight 2, and the gameplay is in the Diablo style that I came to recognize and enjoy. Although a bit hand holding and less difficulty than I expected, possibly because of the point of the game I'm in.

Try this game!
I have thousands and thousands of hours across multiple different ARPGs. Diablo I, II, and III, Torchlight 1, 2, and 3, Path of Exile are just some of the big ARPGs I've played. This genre is my favorite genre of video games, and when I say Torchlight Infinite ranks up with there with some of the best ARPGs out there. Well I'm just as surprised as you. A mobile game? One of the best of all time? And it's free? Crazy! Madness! Yet here I am writing this review.

One of the best ARPGs I have ever played. I absolutely love how the gameplay feels, the customization is very good, and the QoL is the best of any ARPG I have played or seen. Only downside, personally, is that the monetization is fucking annoying and sometimes bothersome but of course it never feels required. It only sometimes feels a little in the way when I get notifications for it.
