Calibur League is a hero collecting RPG game that focuses on pixelated characters and graphics. This is done in a tasteful way though with the character models looking sharp and unique. I absolutely loved the character designs. They were both cute and fun at the same time. The game does a good job with the tutorial early on to get you familiar with everything. The game's core gameplay is similar to other RPG hero collecting games out there. You have a traditional campaign mode which will unlock additional features as you progress further in. The game has PVP along with some special dungeon modes as well.
There are always a bunch of events going on to help you get resources and quests for you to complete. The game has endless fun with nice battle animations. The battlefield is different than most games. Everything is flat but the characters have the ability to knock back other characters giving you this fun gameplay of trying to push the enemies back up against the wall. The problem with this though is the characters can overlap at times making it hard for you to see certain characters during the fight. I didn't mind it much, but it is worth mentioning.
Overall, I think it's a great game and if you like RPG hero collecting games then you will enjoy this one. My favorite character was the shark. You really don't see shark characters in RPG hero collecting games. This hero immediately stood out to me as did a few others. Monetization wise the game has a ton of different ways for you to spend money, including a gacha system. This is typical though compared to other games in the same genre. So, it was no surprise for me there.
