IDLE OBELISK MINER PROS and CONS. Is it Good?

Idle Obelisk Miner have some innovative mechanics and fun ideas, but I see some drawbacks in the game as well that might scare you off . In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Idle Obelisk Miner so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Game is AD-free. Literally 0 ads. If you want to support the dev - buy one of the packs. Some are very cheap. This is rare in our days and I respect that a lot.

2. Innovative mechanics. Even though its some sort of evolved clicker gameplay, where instead of clicking you will hover your finger over the ore chunks its still pretty cool and it adds several new opportunities, like mining range or chunk spawn amount.

3. Several upgrade layers. You have Upgrades that reset with prestige, Relics, that stay and quite easily earned and Artifacts that are being rewarded with prestige points.

4. New mechanics unlock as you progress the game. At first the game is pretty simple and straightforward, but as you destroy Obelisks you will unlock more and more upgrade options for yourself. Who knows what to expect.

CONS

1. Slow progression. Yes, its an idle game, but it would be nice to give a little faster progression to the new players and slow them down later. Early Prestige doesnt earn a lot. You wont be able to afford a lot of artifacts early on, before you get few obelisks down. That means that resets wont give you that much satisfaction and power.

2. No cloud saves. You cant move your progress from one device to another. This is really bad, specifically for the games in 2023. Moreover if you will delete the game, you will have to start from the scratch.

3. Early game isnt Idle. You will have to manually mine resources before you can upgrade your drones enough, so they can work instead of you. So get ready to get your hands dirty.

Verdict. Is Idle Obelisk Miner good?

Yes, its a good Idle game. Just taking a look at it to see new game mechanics is worth it. And most of the cons can be fixed in a later patches or as you progress the game. I like it and will keep playing it. Curiosity on what upgrades do I unlock next wont let me go for a while.
