Finally, a game that brings you into the seedy underworld of organized crime! Okay, so there is... Yakuza, Grand Theft Auto, and well... Mafia, but although the tropes may be familiar, Gomorrah offers a unique story-based interactive experience that was pretty compelling on my mobile device and, with multiple endings, offered plenty of replay value.

Partly inspired by the fanfare from the book and TV series of the same name, Gomorrah wasted no time getting me into the action when I was thrust into becoming the head of a crime family after a grizzly and pretty well-animated murder scene. What I like about Gomorrah is the style. The black-and-white imagery, and music, all give the game a seedy feel that fits the tone of a revenge story.
The gameplay is simple to grasp. My choices had consequences and directed the story. After each chapter segment, I was rated based on my decisions from four categories: Merciful, Relentless, Businesswoman, and Bloody. Additionally, there’s a strategic element where you’ll have to pick the right crew member for missions that you can use to build various stats. This is where the RPG elements come into play.

I was surprised at the variety of missions. Sure, you had the typical escort and thievery type missions, but there were also drug deals, which is a bit more controversial and adds some authenticity to the fact that, yes, we’re in a criminal organization, and yes, we do terrible crimes.

Gomorrah cost me around $3 bucks, and all in all, as a fan of interactive storytelling, I was happy with my purchase. You’ll be satisfied if you want to check out some creative storytelling and build up a team to enact your revenge.

Gomorrah - A Quick Game Review
Gomorrah is a text-based novel like adventure RPG mobile game where you play as Nina in a mafia society in Italy. I heavily appreciated the great story plot of this game where our character is trying to establish her empire out of her father's legacy. I was quite impressed how the choices I made could heavily impact the gameplay progression. The dialogues written were very profound and professional, which I enjoyed reading and could easily relate to story content.

Taking in the Mafia vibe to conquer the cities and the bullies
I always want to stay in character as I play this game. I got hooked on rebuilding the reputation of the main character as a mafia kingpin and getting into loads and loads of trouble just to get there. The graphics for me are just suitable for playing on my mobile, so I get to play it smoothly. Just like games like this, it will involve money to get strong fast, but it's worth a long ride if you're patient.
