A fairly good Sims game given the hardware we had back in the day. Extremely lacking when compared to Sims FreePlay. Still, what it lacked in content, it made up with its spirit and its lits lack of microtransactions.
Sims 3 was a premium release when it came out. I've had a ton of fun with it being my first Sims experience. As I've said, the hardware back then just wasn't there so this version of Sims 3 was practically bare bones when compared to the PC and console . Character and household customization wasn't that in-depth yet. Jobs didn't have too much going on. Interactions were also not as nuanced. Still, you have to commend what was accomplished with this game given its limitations.
On top of that, it's a game where you actually get what you paid for. Single price, full-bodied gameplay, and no microtransactions (at least to my knowledge).
While it doesn't hold a candle now when compared to Sims FreePlay or Sims Mobile, this game will always hold a special place in my heart as it represents a scenario on what could have been: a premium gaming experience on mobile.
