Keep in mind that this game is still in development, i mean by the story and content. So far we got 2 seasons now and it is definitely getting better. I might improve the rating later, just make the game smoother pls.

Gameplay
People have called this game a walking simulator but I don't think it is. It's almost like a semi open world game. The world is really amazing as you would expect nier games is. There are puzzles and stuffs you could interact. Some updates made it so you can go back to a certain point to find items and other stuffs. The combat system is something like a turn based game but with some real time aspects which is interesting but irrelevant when you get to a certain point.
For the PvE and PvP, PvE is easy as long as you get a good knowledge of the battle system. Other than that you should focus on getting meta characters. There are hard challenges which would definitely require you to have decent characters and equipments. Meanwhile in PvP, you can compete to get good rewards but if you want to dominate the game you definitely need to go for p2w. But overall the game is very f2p and very generous for new players.
Soundtrack/Music
Awesome and beautiful. NieR music never fails to input a certain feelings regarding certain stories. I also still in love of how unique the Chaos Language is. Chaos Language is basically the language used in NieR music.
World
The world is full of mystery. Sometimes it can get gloomy and beautiful. Big epic structures. Its a nice experience
Characters and Stories
Its yoko taro what'd you expect? Well basically you will feel lost but then BAM yoko BEAAAM he will have u feel despair and sadge and you will understand the story lil bit by bit and end with a nice ending with a lesson in the end of the day. OR THAT WHAT YOU THOUGHT. You will learn abt CRUEL DETHRONING, DEPRESSED ROBOT, SISTER COMPLEX, beautiful assassin, the risks of mountain climbing and delusions, SONLESS BEHAVIOR, BOY WITH TRAUMA, A GOOD GUY, LAB RAT, HOMOPHOBIC, HOMOSEXUAL, oshi no ko, Jealous robot, Get a room, Trust issues and many more coming.

i play this game for almost 1 year (and cn server to) and it's recommended if you play game like HI3 (for gameplay), dark soul (die, die and die), nier series (familiar vibes)

It's really worth to play. At the day its released I was sceptical bcs why this amazing game got bad rating until I tried it myself and got amazed and speechless how epic this game.
Idk the reasone why people hating or gave bad star, but from my experiences is definitely "must to try" game.
- The game using 2.5D camera, which is I like it, it brings me nostalgia with oldschool games.
- Open world system! Getting fighting over kill monsters for quests hahahaha.

Two weeks of playing, and it's getting better with all the bug fix.
The music and character designs are AMAZING! The game may have some downsides, but it's still pretty enjoyable regardless.
Story is alright at first, there are some fun interactions. It only starts to actually get good later, starting from chapter 7. You will probably enjoy this more if you watch the anime(I don't). There are 10 chapters so far, so the story still has long way to go.
I've played over 30 invitations.. which is basically character side stories. They are mostly not as good as the main story and also not fully voiced. Side stories are locked behind the affection system, but it doesn't take that long to raise them.
