Exactly As The Name - Zero Fiction
2K View2023-02-27I'm giving this one two stars and both of them are for the girls.
The game menu is clean and ad/store free but also that's because the game has no microtransactions, currency, grinding, or not really much of anything actually. It appears like a visual novel menu, it basically has "New Game" and I forgot what the other button is.
The starting dialogue is pretty strong with "in the beginning there was nothing but then anime girls".
But then it just dumps you into the game's 8 stages, about 6 dialogues, and 1 game mechanic.
Overall the marketing materials and styling is done well enough that I expected a lot more and was questioning "this is just the tutorial, right?" right up until the end, only confused by the lack of a tutorial beyond the first stage and how by stage 4 it was already feeling like midgame gameplay.
I will give credit where credit is due though, being able to use multiple units at once is nice, and turns it into a sortof round based strategy rather than turn. Except that the enemies still attack in turns and the game gives no indication of this. the one mechanic is that you can upgrade your basic RPG stats after each battle... I put all mine in ATK and skill recharge and beat the game first try.
Conclusion
The total gameplay time was like 10-20 minutes... Which is a cost low enough it makes it hard to actually dis-recommend. Sure, it's feature bare and simple, but also, what can you expect for a 15 minute playtime? It doesn't do anything that makes me actively dislike it and the girls are pretty so... Is it really a waste of time to play for that long? I don't exactly regret playing it, so I think it's worth it's cost - $0 and 15 mins... If you want an excuse to check out what feels more like an admittedly pretty decently done style demo for the character 3D.

I've been playing this on and off since this morning and here's what I think.
The story although in Japanese seems really good
The girls are very nicely designed and there's alot to differentiate them.
the music is pretty good especially the opening screen.
the battle system is one where the girls will auto attack the enemy and you can tap to trigger the various skills. There's also combo attacks for specials where various characters link up for good damage and that Animeee we all love.

So, gotta say that this is pretty good. It's your standard turn-based tactical RPG akin to Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, however it's pretty simplified. Not a bad thing, but if you're looking for a super robust combat system, you'd be better off with a different title.
Where the combat lacks, the other mechanics shine and make the core gameplay slightly more interesting. Each campaign takes place on a dungeon map that has new landmarks appear as you progress. You can go about the map in any order, however combat sections must be done if you want to progress further down that line. As you collect relics and level up your fighters, you'll be able to choose different skills for them to take. There will be three to choose from, and they can range from increasing your attack range by 1 tile, or giving your attacks a chance to heal you for a percentage of the damage they do.

Well, I can say that this game is really worthy in order to download it, it will appeal to both people who do not like anime and anime people which like this, and most importantly, it will go to those who love gachi games and farm girls. There is good gameplay, a variety of girls (NIKKE), I don't see advertising. Yes, there is too much in the lobby itself (it would be better if they did everything "all in one"), but the whole point of this IS ALL to get freebies, boosts, perks, and most importantly: DIAMONDS, because they are needed in order to buy cards for NIKKE. The very design of the girls is beautiful, in a sense even 16 + (I don't think that the uniform in swimsuits, etc., can be attributed to 18 +), you can admire them in the lobby or during the fight from a more beautiful side. The plot in terms of a novel?Well, honestly, I miss talking points, because I want to play, not read, but for lovers of visual short stories - I think great. In general: 5 of ass 5
