Nautical Life 2 is a fun and simple game with good depth to it. You create a character at the beginning either boy or girl and then try to become the best fisherman possible. The game does a great job with the tutorial from the start, teaching you everything you need to know in order to have fun and succeed. The gameplay for catching the fish feels unique and engaging. Despite it being a simple mini game, it never gets boring and you're always wanting more. Fishing isn't all you do though. You will also be collecting resources by chopping down tress or mining ore.
As you progress through the game you will earn bucks that you can use to buy a variety of different things to help you on your journey and customize your island. Once you have a boat you can then start to explore the open seas and visit other islands. These other islands will have rare resources or even rare fish. The graphics simple but distinct so that everything stands out with nice vibrant colors. The only problem I faced was trying to catch very specific fish in order to progress through the tutorial. I could not find anything that would tell me where or how to catch certain types of fish. The game does have a night and day cycle though and some fish are only obtainable at night or during the day.
Overall, this game is a boat load of fun and anyone will enjoy it. It is casual enough but at the same time has enough depth to make it not boring.
