King of Fighters ALLSTAR brings back two old favorites in the new update

A few months ago, I went ahead and reviewed KOF Arena. In that review, I mentioned the extensive character roster that made this series unique. Well, with the new King of Fighters ALLSTAR update, King Of Fighters Arena isn't the only series with an extensive character list. With the addition of King Of Fighters XV Leona and XV Luong, we see new fighting styles added to the mix!

So, what does this mean for KOF Allstars? Well, the latest update for The King of Fighters Allstar adds the new Clandestine Operation event, which focuses on the story of Luong. It also adds a change of pace for the way element attacks will work in certain fights, as you have a mix of Blue Element and Green Element to their respective skills. The update also adds a new dungeon and time attack mode.

It's certainly not the first time KOF has added to the series. We've even seen a cool collaboration with the WWE and got fan favorites like The Rock! But every time a new character is added to the mix, it's worth checking out. If you're unfamiliar with these two badass beauts, let me fill you in.

Leona was first introduced in King of Fighters 96 and nicknamed "The Silent Soldier." Originally, Leona had trouble expressing herself outside combat or a mission. Due to her past, she often keeps her emotions in check as she fears losing control and hurting her friends because of her Orochi blood. On the other hand, Luong was introduced in KOF XIV and is a femme fatale type, seductive and with a secret agenda, not afraid of betraying her teammates to reach her goals.

Not having played much of the originals where these characters were introduced, I'm always up for reviewing new talent! But, honestly, I would love for Netmarble to bring back some of the old collaborations like Samurai Showdown, Seven Deadly Sins, WWE, and of course, perhaps more Rupies for the chance of a higher drop rate!
