Hey, mighty warriors of Asgard! If you are looking for an Action RPG, and your dearest wish for a game includes “Has fast paced combat where I can kill enemies easily”, “Can gain AFK rewards even only after a short away”, “Lets me play as superheroic characters”, “Has my favorite rouge-like elements”, and “If the game is f2p-friendly, it’ll be perfect”... Congratulations! Myth: Gods of Asgard will fulfill your every wish! I’m your guiding angel, Veir, and today I will be talking about one of the most powerful and primal gods of Norse Mythology—Thor, the God of Thunder.
Character Intro
Thor is one of the most powerful gods in Norse Mythology. Being Odin’s
son, he governs war and agriculture. As the protector of Asgard’s peace, he
enjoys great admiration from everyone. He also wields the powerful divine
hammer Mjolnir, which further cements his prowess as an invincible God of War.
Character Overview
Thor has a rapid attack frequency and decent attack range. While providing a good amount of damage, he is equally effective in offense and defense. If you want a hero that’s easy to master, and perfect for newcomers to clear stages and compete in the arena, Thor is definitely your choice!
Character Specialties
Thor is the easiest hero to use out of all the 5 heroes in the current version. He is an easy-to-master hero that is very newcomer-friendly.
- Normal Attack 1 [Mighty Swing] and Special Skill 1 [Thunder Clap] come with attack buffs.
- Powerful Skill 3 [Hammer Swing] and Special Skill 3 [Thunder Body] are able to deal massive AoE damage.
- Powerful Skill 3 [Hammer Swing] only has a CD of 0.5s, guaranteeing Thor the ability to deal damage rapidly over a wide range of area.
The above are some skill tips. You can adjust your skills based on
actual battle scenarios during the preparation phase.
Playing in Actual Battles
Wielding Mjolnir, Thor can easily clear away enemies on the battlefield
by dealing damage over a huge area. Thor also has excellent survivability,
assuring victory when engaging in melee combat with the enemy.
Thor is easy to use. Although his attack range might come short compared
to long-ranged heroes (such as Ullr), his Powerful Skill 3 [Hammer Swing] can attack enemies in a wide area, thereby making up for his disadvantage in attack range. And when faced with a large number of low HP monsters, his damage output is unparalleled.
Firstly, his normal attack is a four-attack combo. His Normal Attack 1 [Mighty Swing] deals damage reliably and comes with a buff, making it an excellent choice.
Secondly, all three of Thor's Powerful attacks only have a comparatively short CD of 0.5s, which allows him to frequently cast skills and deal damage to groups of enemies. At Lv. 3, his Powerful Skill 3 [Hammer Swing] can unleash 5 hammers after casting any Special Skill, increasing his attack and dealing damage to even more enemies.
Finally, Thor’s Special Skill 2 [Thunder Strike] casts [Lightning] in 4 directions, dealing damage rapidly to enemies in its path.
Deck Recommendations
When preparing cards for hero skills, in addition to matching with the
hero specialties, we must also take note of the special effects that come with
the active skill cards. When choosing passive skill cards, it's better to
enhance the special effects of the active skill cards. For example, for Baldr’s
[Light Beam] effect, choosing passive cards such as [Scary Nightmare] and [Radiant Light] that also have Light [Beam effects] can greatly boost your fighting capacity.
For the current version, here are some suggestions for Thor’s build:
P.S.: Of course, if you're a veteran player, feel free to create a deck
build that's unique to you!
- Main Divine Power Card: Odin, Baldr, Heimdallr, and Sif are
your options, but do prioritize Odin and Baldr.
- Normal Attack: When you choose Normal Attack 2 [Lightning Circuit] or Normal Attack 3 [Thunderblast], it’s recommended to use Sif or Heimdallr cards.
- Powerful Attack: Powerful Skill 2 [Multi-Hammer] and Powerful Skill 3 [Hammer Swing] pair well with Odin, Heimdallr, or Baldr cards.
- Special Attack: Special Skill 3 [Thunder Body] is best paired with Odin and Baldr.
The above sums up an introduction to Thor’s skills. Players interested,
do give him a try!
