Hey guys back again with another video and this time it's a survival game oooo.
Soooo I've played B2B apocalypse for around 45 minutes and I gotta say this games pretty interesting. I've played the first b2b about a year ago but I never really got to invested in it however b2b apocalypse would be a different story.
First of I love apocalyptic survival games/ zombie games so ofcause once I saw this I had to try it out and I was not disappointed. The game starts off with some good comic style story cutscenes to explain the situation you're in then "gently" puts you into the game lol. So you and your team are on a plane that gets shot out the sky and from what it seems you're the only survivor and need to find shelter and that where this video starts (sorry I cut out the cutscene part).
One your get control of your character there is no clear mission yet so you just step forward to explore which might be abut weird for some as we all have gotten used to the plot of having a mission off the bat but hey not this game boys and girls. So there is no clear mission yet and no tutorial yet which I like because it adds to the survival aspect of the game so you have to figure things out and ofcause the first thing I did was press buttons to figure out what does what yknow and I'm glad to let you guys know it's not at all complicated.
So the controls of the game are abit unique as you get your basic movement and shoot controls however there is also the formation button which you can use to se a squad formation depending on the situation you're in but I sadly haven't fully gotten into it yet because I do not have squad members yet however it can still be used to increase defense, mobility, range, accuracy, and damage which is pretty cool and it does have some debuffs to it as well for instance damage and ranger reduces mobility which equals slower movement. Oh and we also got the select fire options which you can use to set a burst fire, full auto or auto fire ( which is cool since we don't have to go to settings to turn it on) and I'm not sure yet if it depends on the gun you use but it'll be cool if it does.
The ui of the game is pretty cool too, there isn't too much on screen to make you feel overwhelmed and there isn't to little to make it look and feel like some simple game, all the buttons are placed at convenient spots as they should be and there's no reason to move them about just yet. The looting/ scavenging system is pretty nice and simple especially because they added the take all/ loot all button which makes it much more convenient for the player to loot. Combat is nice and easy so far as you have a circle round you which represents from what I've seen the auto aim area meaning that once and element gets inside of this area your character automatically aims and tracks that enemy while inside.
One detail I really was surprised by is that you gun can jam!! Sheesh surprised me because I was not expecting it in a 2d type of game like this but luckily we don't have to manually unjam it as the character does it themselves. Guns, armore and the basic character items do have a durability limit which is nice to because it makes you focus less on going in guns blazing and makes you play strategically unless you have a repair kit, if you have a few of these then go guns blazing lol.
The game graphics are really nice, not too much and not too little. I like the paper/ cardboard style of the character animation as you could see in the video above, it'd do simple yet unique yknow. The game has good audio and ambience, the guns sounds good too, enemy audio is great to because some enemies can be hidden behind a house or tree so audio let's you know they're somewhere close. The rain effect is not bad and doesn't get in your way and doesn't become too irritating like some othe mobile game rain effects (unlike GTA San Andreas remake sheeesh). The indoor areas of the game are pretty nice too and aren't to stacked up on details to the point where it feels inconvenient to go through a house for loot.
Enemies are hard to deal with not too hard as they can be taken down pretty easily. I haven't got swamped by a bunch of them yet but I know it won't be easy if I get surrounded which adds to the survival area of the game so be careful boys and girls.
I probably missed a few things ( some ill only mention for the next video) but I recommendthis game to players looking for a good offline survival game to play on some low end devices and its a good game to pass the time fir my browser in SA who have the loadshedding issue.
Buts that all i have for today guys the next post will be some Fortnite mobile gameplay, Pickle Pete and possible Torchlight or Gunfire reborn gameplay.
Enjoy your games and remember, ITS NOT JUST A GAME.
I love this game so far. Right now I got 1 out of the 7 partners you team up with. I like the fact there are no ads.
