Can anyone share with me how to master what colors need to match together for a higher speed?

I've been playing it for 2 hours already and it seems like there are various combinations of how to create a perfect chip and have a faster killing spree. I can't seem to decode what combinations are better to create. *sigh* #cryforhelp
