Dark and Light feels like a fun game with a lot of different survival mechanics and magic emphasis. But is it actually good?

PROS

1. Insane amount of progression

Dark and Light have loads of research that will allow you to craft ingame stuff. You get levels when you perform actions. You can domesticate creatures, build base, guild up, fight world bosses and more. Dark and Light wont let you get bored

2. Advanced character customization

You can tune pretty much every part of your character appearance. That will allow you to create unique looking character that you want to play as.

3. Magic!

Dark and Light mechanics are built around magic, and you will have to learn spells and drain magical elements from the surrounding objects to progress

4. Fantastic graphics

Dark and Light uses Unreal Engine and looks gorgeous. You can crank up your settings to epic, if your phone can handle it, and enjoy crisp and beautiful picture.

CONS

1. Harvesting and Building controls

Currently its very hard to properly gather things you want or build your house and base. The problem with harvesting is that sometimes you have to be in some precise point in order to get action button on the right object. As for the building, somewhy foundations do not snap to each other easily and it requires a lot of running around to properly place things where they belong

2. Learning curve

You will have to learn a lot to survive in the world of Dark and Light. Survival games are always pretty complex and require some practice to avoid unnecessary rage over loss of property. Although in Dark and Light early game have beginner areas, that prevent your character from item loss on death and your buildings are protected by an aura as long as you can sustain it.

Verdict. Is Dark and Light Good?

Yes

Dark and Light is a very interesting survival game with a magical twist. It have great graphics, interesting setting and very strong social element. Its also beginner friendly and your early game mistakes wont cost you too much. The only major issue is that basebuilding is a bit glitchy and it takes a while to understand how you should progress.
