It has been nearly a year since the PC version of CaseCracker was released. The concept for CaseCracker formed in my mind at the end of 2019. My initial inspiration came from the game Her Story, which features search-based gameplay that really impressed me. Combining search-based gameplay with a mystery theme is definitely a brilliant idea, I thought, and this combination could be effectively presented in text form, which by chance also helped reduce the development costs.
Open-minded and with an inclination towards gaming from a young age, I always had the aspiration of creating games. With this aim, I majored in computer science in college and ventured into the game industry. During my spare time at work, I began developing CaseCracker independently and eventually resigned to fully focus on its development. Finally, the game was launched on PC in May 2022!
The PC version of CaseCracker received numerous positive reviews upon its release. Later, when we added an English version, it received unexpected praise from overseas players. Given the game's low hardware requirements, which make it pretty suitable for mobile devices, I came up with the idea of creating a mobile version. It took some effort to bring the game to TapTap, but I am satisfied that now everyone can play the game on their mobile phone and become a detective in the city, solving one case after another.
