Today, I'm going to be covering my first impressions on a new mobile game called 'In My Shadow'. This game is a 2D platformer that has you controlling a character whom is a shadow and The game has a really unique art style and gameplay, and I think it's definitely worth checking out.
The gameplay in In My Shadow is pretty simple. You control your character by moving them left and right, and you can jump by pressing the jump button. The goal of the game is to reach the end of each level without running into the shadow traps. The game tells the story of Bella, a young woman who had a fallout with her family years ago and now finds herself struggling to respond to her father's text message. Her childhood memories come to life as shadows on the wall of her house, and you must use those shadows to solve unique puzzles and help Bella try to let go of her past. This game is an emotional puzzle roller coaster following bellas mental illness. There's 50 levels full of mechanics around getting the shadow to the other end.
The art style in In My Shadow is really unique. The game is 2D, but it has a really painterly look to it. The characters and backgrounds are all really detailed, and the game has a really cool atmosphere. The soundtrack in In My Shadow is also really good. The music is atmospheric and melodic and it really adds to the game's overall feel around mental stability. I really enjoyed playing In My Shadow. It's a unique and challenging game with a great art style and soundtrack. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new mobile game to play.
